KLAS, a research firm that measures the performance of healthcare technology, conducted a specialty study on Clinical Decision Support (CDS) systems in 2011. KLAS selected Isabel as one of the vendors to evaluate in the study and recently released their “Clinical Decision Support 2011” report.
Isabel received a rating of 92.4% in the report. “We are pleased and proud to have been rated so high in the KLAS report. We value our customer partnerships and these results show that Isabel clients are using our diagnosis checklist tool to improve diagnosis efficiency and improve patient care,” said Isabel CEO, Don Bauman.
The KLAS evaluation process involves validating vendors’ performance at a minimum of 15 unique, acute care provider organizations. The study highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of each system in terms of functionality and vendor performance as reported by healthcare providers. The key points evaluated were:
How well are the products meeting providers needs
Successes/Challenges in using the system
Contribution to Meaningful Use
Provider organizations benefit from the research by better understanding how well each CDS vendor/product is meeting needs and expectations.
An industry update on each vendor is provided based on customer feedback.
